It has been a while. Much has occurred in the last 36 months with Bburago, yet here we are. So much is new: a new website, new products, new distribution. Yet, like an old friend you run into on the street that you have not seen for many years, you realize, so much is still the same.
As you are probably aware, the ownership of this proud brand has changed hands. Not to investors that are looking to cash in on a good name. Not to novices who have spent every last (Italian for cent) to acquire a company and have nothing left to reinvest. The new owners have spent the last 40 years building from the ground up their own die-cast company, at times following the lead of Bburago, at other times leading themselves. Now, in their own factories, they proudly take on the responsibility of keeping the Bburago heritage alive by instilling freshness in products, design, and marketing yet keeping the look, the feel, and the aura of an Italian icon at the forefront.
The website you are viewing is maintained by an Italian designer. The new Bburago packaging, and every item has been repackaged, was created by an Italian designer. Our 2007 product catalog design and outline was created by an Italian designer. Our 2007 advertising campaign will be created by an Italian designer. Do you notice a trend here?
We hope the above gives you a sense for how we have arrived to this point in Bburago's history. The future is up to you. We hope that as you review our website, and as you begin to add to your die-cast colleziones with the same enthusiasm that you once did, you will notice only the most modest of changes. It is up to us to ensure that those changes are positive. We pledge to you, the loyal followers of Bburago, to do this.
Now it is up to us. We have already planned additional titles beyond the last Bburago offering to give freshness to this brand. In the coming months we will update you with more. A lot more. For now, sit back and enjoy. We hope you like what you see. Please feel free to use our contact us button to express your opinions. We look forward to hearing from you, and we wish you much enjoyment in the pursuit of your collecting dreams.
